I've been painting on "treasures" in 2016. It's a nice change from the canvas, wood, and paper that I've used almost exclusively for over a dozen years! Thrift stores are addictive, so are places like Hobby Lobby (where I found a cute set of plates that I had to purchase - this is the first of those).

Painted with enamel paints and cured to create a permanent, glossy finish. This is plate #1 of many, many more to come! This is a peek at how this saint came to be, coat by coat:
